The Browns have waived 24-year old WR Syndric Steptoe who has a torn labrum in one of his shoulders. Steptoe played in all 16 games for the Browns last season catching 19 passes for 182 yards (9.6 avg). He also returned 2 punts for 23 yards (11.5 avg) and 3 kickoffs for 61 yards (20.3 avg). Getting rid of Steptoe is a good sign for the Browns as some of the kid receivers are beginning to step up.
The Cleveland Browns have waived 6th round pick Don Carey. Carey has a shoulder problem and if you can’t get on the field….you can’t make the team. Some other team will likely give Carey another chance if he can stay healthy.
