The Cleveland Browns playoff hopes are now in the hands of the Tennessee Titans after losing a game they should have won.  Derek Anderson had a bad game at the wrong time of the season for the Browns.  Anderson completed 29 of 48 passes for 251 yards with 2 TD passes and 4 very costly interceptions.  Jamal Lewis had another good game as he carried the ball 21 times for 92 yards (4.4 ypc) and he also caught 5 passes for 42 yards (8.4 avg).  Jason Wright also had an outstanding game as he carried the ball 3 times for 38 yards (12.7 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 34 yards (11.3 avg).  Kellen Winslow had a solid game as he caught 7 passes for 73 yards (10.4 avg).  Braylon Edwards had a good game too as he caught 8 passes for 52 yards (6.5 avg) with 2 TD grabs.  The Browns finished up with 136 yards rushing on 26 carries (5.2 ypc) and they also completed 29 of 48 passes for 244 yards.

Sean Jones (9 tackles), Shaun Smith (8 tackles) and Leigh Bodden (5 tackles, 2 interceptions) led the way for the Browns on defense.  The Bengals finished up with 155 yards rushing on 33 carries (4.7 ypc) and they also completed 11 of 21 passes for 115 yards.

Cleveland Browns 8, Buffalo Bills 0

The Browns won in a blizzard yesterday as they improved to 9-5 on the season and they are still in hold of the last Wild Card spot in the AFC.  Derek Anderson had a tough game due to the elements at Cleveland Stadium yesterday.  He only completed 9 of 24 passes for 137 yards.  Jamal Lewis was outstanding yesterday for the Browns as he carried the ball 33 times for 163 yards (4.9 ypc).  Lewis seemed to save his best for last as he had a lot of good runs in the 2nd half that helped keep the ball away from the Bills while keeping the clock running.  Braylon Edwards led the Browns with 4 catches for 64 yards (16.0 avg).  The Browns finished up with 174 yards rushing on 37 carries (4.7 ypc) and they also completed 9 of 24 passes for 130 yards.

Leigh Bodden and Andra Davis led the way on the defense of the Browns with 6 tackles apiece.  The Bills finished up with 108 yards rushing on 32 carries (3.4 ypc) and they also completed 13 of 33 passes for 124 yards.

Cleveland Browns vs. Buffalo Bills

Both of these football teams have there eyes on making the playoffs and because of that this will be a huge football game.  The Bills are 7-6 on the season but they haven’t beaten a team with a winning record all season long.  The Browns are 8-5 on the season and they are currently holding the 2nd Wild Card spot in the AFC.  The Browns have played great at home as they are 5-1 there despite only outscoring their opponents 186-170.

Look for the Bills to come out running just like they did last weekend against the Dolphins as the Browns are allowing 130.5 yards rushing per game and 4.6 yards per carry so far this season.  Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson will need to have good games to keep the Browns offense off of the field.  Look for rookie QB Trent Edwards to have some success throwing the ball deep to Lee Evans against a Browns defense that is allowing 259.2 yards passing per game.

The Browns will probably come out throwing against a Bills pass defense that is allowing 251.4 yards passing per game so far this season.  The Bills don’t have much of a pass rush and Derek Anderson has only been sacked 11 times this season which is bad news for the Bills.  Braylon Edwards, Kellen Winslow and Joe Jurevicius give the Browns a huge size advantage over the smaller DBs of the Bills.  If the Browns get the lead in the game they will attempt to pound the ball with Jamal Lewis who is having an outstanding season (921 yards rushing, 9 TDs).

PREDICTION:  BROWNS 34, BILLS 27

Cleveland Browns 24, New York Jets 18

The Browns improved to 8-5 on the season with a hard fought victory in the rain over the pesky Jets.  Derek Anderson had a solid game as he completed 16 of 29 passes for 185 yards with 2 TD passes and 1 interception.  Jamal Lewis had a monster game as he carried the ball 21 times for 118 yards (5.6 ypc) with a TD run and he also caught 3 passes for 19 yards (6.3 avg) with a TD grab.  Jerome Harrison got a small taste in this game as he carried the ball 2 times for 21 yards (10.5 ypc).  Braylon Edwards (3 rec, 63 yards, TD) and Kellen Winslow (4 rec, 34 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Browns.  The Browns finished up with 152 yards rushing on 29 carries (5.2 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 29 passes for 185 yards.

The Browns defense was busy in this game and they just played well enough to win.  CB Daven Holly led the way for the Browns with 11 tackles.  Linebackers D’Qwell Jackson (10 tackles) and Leon Williams (9 tackles, 1.5 sacks) also had very solid games.  Sean Jones was all over the place too as he had 8 tackles, 1/2 a sack and a interception.  Rookie CB Brandon McDonald also did a good job with 5 tackles and a interception.  The Jets finished with 119 yards rushing on 30 carries (4.0 ypc) and they also completed 24 of 41 passes for 268 yards.
