Browns fall apart in 4th quarter and fall 24-20 to Steelers
Only the Browns could lose a game where they out-play an opponent for three quarters and lose the game. Charlie Frye had a decent game as he completed 17 of 27 passes for 224 yards and carried the ball 5 times for 27 yards (5.4 ypc). Jason Wright had a solid game subbing for Reuben Droughns (who missed the game due to injury) with 18 carries for 74 yards (4.1 ypc). Braylon Edwards caught 7 passes for 137 yards and almost caught a Hail Mary on the last play of the game. Kellen Winslow pitched in with 4 catches for 36 yards.
Andra Davis (8 tackles), Brodney Pool (8 tackles) and Ralph Brown (7 tackles) led the way for the defense….but it was Daven Holly and Willie McGinest that played the best. Daven Holly had 5 tackles and 2 INTs…one of which, he returned 57 yards for a TD. Willie McGinest had 5 tackles, a sack and an interception. The Browns held the Steelers to 77 yards rushing on 20 carries (3.9 ypc). The Steelers completed 25 of 44 passes for 261 net yards passing.
The Browns should have won this football game…..but Bill Cowher out-coached Romeo Crennel (which isn’t hard to do).
