QB Derek Anderson looked like a seasoned veteran when he led the Browns on a game-winning drive at Buffalo.  Anderson could be pushing Ken Dorsey for the #2 QB spot, even though the coaches are being quiet about it.  Derek Anderson completed 4 of 7 passes for 83 yards and a TD.  Charlie Frye looked sharp when he was in the game connecting on 12 of 16 passes for 76 yards and a TD.  Ken Dorsey only played a little bit and completed 3 of 6 passes for 34 yards.

Jerome Harrison led a punishing Browns running attack.  Harrison ran the ball 9 times for 70 yards (7.8 ypc).  Rueben Droughns had a tougher go against the Bills starters as he carried the ball 8 times for 17 yards (2.1 ypc).  William Green, who looks like he won the #2 RB job, carried the ball 3 times for 19 yards.

Braylon Edwards played in the game and caught a pass for 9 yards.  It was great to see him out there, hopefully he’ll be ready to go in two weeks against the Saints.

The Browns run defense continues to play fantastic.  The Bills only had 56 yards rushing on 22 carries for an average of 2.5 yards per carry.  The pass defense had a few issues as they allowed the Bills to complete 63.8% of their passes and net 293 yards through the air.

How can a practice game ever be thrilling?
