Current Browns Odds
The over/under for Browns wins is 6 1/2. The Browns are currently 66-1 to win the Super Bowl, and 35-1 to win the AFC.
The suggestion here is to take the over. The Browns look like an 8 win team to me this season.

QB Derek Anderson looked like a seasoned veteran when he led the Browns on a game-winning drive at Buffalo. Anderson could be pushing Ken Dorsey for the #2 QB spot, even though the coaches are being quiet about it. Derek Anderson completed 4 of 7 passes for 83 yards and a TD. Charlie Frye looked sharp when he was in the game connecting on 12 of 16 passes for 76 yards and a TD. Ken Dorsey only played a little bit and completed 3 of 6 passes for 34 yards.
Jerome Harrison led a punishing Browns running attack. Harrison ran the ball 9 times for 70 yards (7.8 ypc). Rueben Droughns had a tougher go against the Bills starters as he carried the ball 8 times for 17 yards (2.1 ypc). William Green, who looks like he won the #2 RB job, carried the ball 3 times for 19 yards.
Braylon Edwards played in the game and caught a pass for 9 yards. It was great to see him out there, hopefully he’ll be ready to go in two weeks against the Saints.
The Browns run defense continues to play fantastic. The Bills only had 56 yards rushing on 22 carries for an average of 2.5 yards per carry. The pass defense had a few issues as they allowed the Bills to complete 63.8% of their passes and net 293 yards through the air.
Jerome Harrison’s play is the biggest reason why the Browns tried to trade Lee Suggs. Harrison has carried the ball 9 times for 53 yards (5.9 ypc) and he has caught 8 passes for 67 yards (8.4 avg) and 2 TDs. Harrison has worked his way into the #3 spot behind Rueben Droughns and William Green. Harrison would be the third-down back if the season were to start today.
Ken Dorsey was the solid #2 QB heading into camp, but Derek Anderson is moving closer to him with his play in the pre-season. Dorsey has completed 61.5% of his passes for 123 yards and 1 interception. Dorsey’s QB rating is 57.1. Dorsey has not exhibited much arm strength in the pre-season.
Anderson has a strong arm. Anderson has completed 76.9% of his passes for 104 yards and a TD pass. Anderson’s QB rating is 125.2. Anderson doesn’t have any real game experience and that probably is what keeps him behind Dorsey for now.
Lenny Friedman wasn’t gonna make the Bears, but he might make the Browns who are in dire need of a center. Friedman is a little small at 6′3″, 283. But beggars can’t be choosers. The Browns gave up a conditional draft pick that is believed to be a 2007 7th round pick if Friedman makes the team.
