Might the Browns be bringing back Vinny?

The thought around Cleveland is that the Browns might not be totally confident in Ken Dorsey being it’s #2 QB, which has led to speculation that the Browns might consider bringing Testaverde back to Cleveland.  The Browns will probably wait until after Training Camp to give a call to Vinny so that the 42 year old QB doesn’t accrue any additional wear and tear.  Of course, Dorsey could make this a moot point if he excels in camp.  Testaverde is familiar with Crennel when both were with the Bill Parcells’ led Jets, thus Crennel thinks Vinny will pick up his offense quickly if he were to sign.

Testaverde first came to Cleveland as a 30 year old free agent signed by Coach Bill Belichick.  Testaverde was downright horrid with Tampa Bay, in six seasons there he threw 77 TD passes and 112 interceptions.  With Cleveland in 37 games (31 starts) he threw for 7,255 yards with 47 TD passes and 37 interceptions.  Testaverde grew in Cleveland, and his ability started to shine with a renewed confidence in himself.

Testaverde is currently #8 in all-time touchdown passes (269), #6 in passing yardage (45,252), and #6 in pass completions (3691).
